Name

The name of the Organization shall be “Borderless Research, Advancement, and Innovation in Neuroscience Network (BRAINet)”

Definition

The BRAINet is a voluntary no-profit scientific organization, established to promote different aspects of neuroscience (basic, clinical, surgical, and social) through attempting research, education, innovation activities. This network shall operate as an independent organization, with no association to political and/or military affiliations.

Mission Statement of The Organization


The aim of the BRAINet shall be promotion of global advancement in the neuroscience aspects (basic, clinical, surgical, and social) with the summit goal of serving the humanity and improve the life in different dimensions. The scientific and charity activities of this network shall be aimed to achieve this goal.

Objectives and Types of Activities

The BRAINet shall have the following objectives:
To provide support and information for advancement in different aspects of neuroscience;
To promote and update the current knowledge on neuroscience through research;
To encourage and promote research activities of different extent in the field of neuroscience;
To educate on the different matters of neuroscience aiming on better service of academics to the population;
To seek and promote, on an international level, the participation of the BRAINet in different scientific activities and events;
To raise public awareness on neuroscience;
To raise charity activities aiming on serving the neuroscience-related patients in need of clinical or surgical treatment;
To raise scientific population awareness on the distinguished scientists, researchers, clinicians, and surgeons who served the community in different aspects of neuroscience.

General Policy


BRAINet shall be autonomous and voluntary.
BRAINet shall be non-profit making as defined in the Voluntary Organizations Act, and any excess of funds received or generated from its activities must always be reinvested in the same Organization.
BRAINet shall not have any political, military or trade union affiliation and it shall not indulge in party politics or military actions.

Structure and Membership

All persons aging 15 or more who comply with the BRAINet policy are eligible to become Members of the organization with full voting rights.
The Policy Making Affairs of BRAINet shall be managed by the Steering Committee, composed of senior expert scientists, clinicians, or surgeons who fulfill the eligibility criteria of membership in the Steering Committee or be recommended and voted for by the majority (at least 50-1%) of the aforementioned committee members.
The members of the Steering Committee shall be invited by the Executive Committee according to predefined criteria in each aspect of neuroscience (basic, clinical, surgical, and social)
A new member of the Steering Committee, may be evaluated upon their request for membership in the Committee and shall be confirmed by the authorities upon eligibility.
The Executive Committee shall consist of members of BRAINet who shall be elected every one year. The Executive Committee are eligible for re-election.
A new member who wishes to form part of the Executive Committee should be a fully subscribed Member of the organization for at least six (6) months, otherwise said person can be co-opted and then becomes a full voting member of the Executive Committee at such a date as the Executive Committee sees fit.
No person who is not a member of the organization shall be eligible to hold office as a member of the Executive Committee.
